TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCIES FOR SEPTEMBER 2021
At Churchdown Village Junior School, we are looking for a number of teaching assistants to join our vibrant staff team. These vacancies have arisen due to new children joining our school and other current support staff moving on to initial teacher training.
We can offer you a warm, friendly working environment, a highly supportive senior leadership team and a wonderful group of children. Flexibility, emotional resilience and a sense of humour are essential!
POST 1 – Mornings only (Grade 3)
To support a new child joining us in Year 3, who has a hearing impairment and moderate learning difficulties.
POST 2 – Mornings only (subject to EHCP funding being confirmed, could potentially be some afternoons too) (Grade 3)
To support a child in Year 4 who has moderate learning difficulties.
POST 3 – In-class support all day, every day (Grade 3) plus 2.5 hours lunchtime support (Grade 2)
To support a Year 6 child with significant SEMH/ behavioural difficulties. Experience of Team Teach/ positive handling would be an advantage. You would be well supported in this role by other TAs in the same class and the senior leadership team.
POST 4 – Every morning plus three afternoons (Grade 3)
To support a Year 6 child with a diagnosis of autism and significant SEMH difficulties. You would be well supported in this role by other TAs in the same class and the senior leadership team.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer general tours of our wonderful school due to the current COVID-19 restrictions; however, should you be invited to interview we would be happy to show you around in a socially distanced manner!
