Churchdown Village Junior School requires a permanent full-time teacher from September 2026.

We are looking for a class teacher who is enthusiastic and dedicated to the education of our children. We want to appoint a teacher who delivers creative and enjoyable lessons, designed to move children on in their learning and prepare them for the next phase of their academic journey. At Churchdown Village Junior School, we are looking to grow our vibrant staff team. We can offer you a warm, friendly working environment, highly supportive senior leadership and pastoral/ pupil care team, committed teaching and support staff and a wonderful group of children. The role is to support a bright and engaging Year 4 child with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (without learning disability). We are looking for staff with experience and a proven track record of supporting children with mental wellness needs; additional qualifications (such as being a qualified ELSA) would also be valuable.

We are willing to consider one person to undertake this role, or a job share – we are happy to discuss this further at a school visit or interview.


The role is full-time school hours (8.45 to 3.20 each day), with the possibility of lunchtime cover too.
Please note that this is a fixed term contract until 31st August initially, but likely to continue in September.
