The school has a strong tradition of extra-curricular activities. We are very fortunate to have staff who are prepared to give of their own time to enrich the experiences of our pupils. Activities are run before school, at lunch-time and after school.
We also seek to expand provision by offering paid for private lessons using independent teachers or coaches. In the academic year 2015/2016 rounders, cricket, football, netball, multi-sports, cheerleading, badminton and Yoga will all be offered on this basis. There are more opportunities to join in with club activities as pupils progress through the school. Clubs do not tend to operate in the first and last weeks of term. Details of times and meeting places are announced in assembly during the first week of term, in newsletters to parents and a timetable is available via the link above.
When a club has to be cancelled because a member of staff is unavailable, this is also announced in assembly and a slip or text message is sent to inform parents.
The school has been awarded Active Mark status in recognition of its sporting provision.
